Description Farm-house La Rocchetta

Situated in the center of the “Valle Marrara”, the farmhouse "La Rocchetta" is a beautiful country house built in 1760 on the foundations of a tower of the twelfth century. The complex is located only 15 km from the center of Ferrara, and 30 minutes from the Fair of Bologna. “La Rocchetta” receives its guests in 14 comfortable accommodations of different types and sizes, decorated with taste and simplicity. All accommodations enjoy a wonderful view on the countryside of Ferrara and are provided with comforts like satellite TV, Wi-Fi and air conditioning; some them have also a private entrance. The airy interiors were constructed in the farmhouse and in the edifices that once were the barn and the stables, during a restoration that preserved the original style and brought the complex back to its original splendor, making it a unique place for your holiday in Emilia Romagna.
At the Restaurant "Rocchetta Casa Mia" you can enjoy tasty dishes of the Italian tradition (also available gluten-free), with à la carte or fixed price menus.
Upon waking up, guests will be pampered with a hearty farm breakfast, rich with home-made yogurt, jams and cakes.
A swimming pool measuring 16x8 meters is for the exclusive use of guests, along with some bikes, a beach volleyball court and a peaceful playground for the children.

In the original barn built in 1812, now completely renovated respecting the original architecture, five charming guest rooms have been obtained, which echo the colours and atmosphere of the countryside of Ferrara.
Residenza La Rocchetta (Viola , Mughetto , Geranio)
The residence is located on the first floor of a farmhouse built in 1760 on the foundations of an ancient watch tower of the 13th century, amidst the ancient Valle Marrara. In the farmhouse, completely renovated in keeping with local architectural style, three large family rooms.
Casa Dei Frutti ( Mora, Gelso, Sambuco, Ribes)
In the tranquillity of the Garden of More, this is a pretty rural building, which includes four generously sized guest rooms with independent access from the garden.
All rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi, air conditioning, satellite TV and en-suite bathroom with shower.

The restaurant "Rocchetta Casa Mia" will be available for your lunch and dinner with the typical country dishes, prepared according to the availability of fresh ingredients from our own garden and to the fantasy of the cook. Among the specialities of the house, you will find the classic pinzini of Ferrara, accompanied by cold cuts of our production, the cappellacci with pumpkin or red beet stuffing, and all kinds of home-made pasta. The ducks, rabbits and poultry are bred by us and cooked in the tradition of Ferrara, and the mouthwatering desserts, lovingly prepared by Franca, will delight you with every bite. Finally, our wine cellar proposes local wines of excellent quality, together with a selection of fine wines from all regions of Italy. We look forward to receiving your reservation.

Breakfast

Upon waking up, guests will be pampered with a hearty farm breakfast, rich with home-made yogurt, jams and cakes. Breakfast from 8.00 to 10.00 am.

Take road SS16 From Ferrara to Ravenna and get off at Gaibanella. Follow the road to Sant’Egidio and then follow the sign to the farm. -

Family with children (4/2012) ho soggiornato insieme alla mia famiglia per pasqua , ci siamo trovati benissimo , ottima cucina , personale molto gentile e disponibile. Sicuramente torneremo.

Family with children (5/2011) Sono stata con la mia famiglia durante il ponte del 1 maggio 2012, siamo stati benissimo, ottima cucina, personale gentilissimo e soprattutto molto proffesionale, in particolare la sig.ra Barbara che ci ha dato preziose notizie di Ferrara e dintorni. Abbiamo mangiato i Pinzini specialità locale cucinati dalla prprietaria e cuoca, la Sig Franca, erano buonissimi. Ci torneremo sicuramente questa estate quando la piscina e' aperta.
