“Al Gelso“ is located at the center of a large farm in the fertile plain to the south of Udine, Friuli's capital, takes its name from an ancient mulberry tree that still makes a fine show and is imposing and leafy.The owner is Mr. Alexander Petris making use of wise collaboration of his parents Peter and Mary.“Il Gelso” is the family farmhouse set in an old house of 1700, already inhabited by Christian friars where you can admire old brick floors and slabs of stone and original beams. Today the building, all in stone, has recently been restored and renovated with a careful philological intervention that took care to maintain the historic charm and atmosphere of the old farm with the desire to offer to you our little corner of paradise, between relaxation and good things.Built on three floors, the structure is organized as follows: the mezzanine floor has been converted to bedrooms, the ground floor is the convivial area with space for breakfast and the service of tasting dishes with cold meats and products derived from livestock and crops of the same, while the large open-space attic, with exposed beams and houses the Petris family.The location of the user can easily make day trips and excursions in the area, with the possibility to admire the Roman Aquileia, Cividale del Friuli those of Lombard, the Renaissance fortress of Palmanova, the nature reserve of Marano Lagoon, the beaches of Lignano Sabbiadoro and Grado.
