\"Conegliano<\/a>To spend a weekend full of art<\/strong> and good wine<\/strong> there is no better place than Conegliano<\/strong>. The town, dominated by the medieval castle<\/strong>, has got an ancient historical center with several well-preserved palaces of the Renaissance that are situated along the ancient Great Contrada<\/em>, once the home of the noble families of the city. The cathedral, which dates back to the fourteenth century, contains the famous artwork of the \u201cSacra Conversazione\u201d<\/em> made by Giovanni Battista Cima<\/strong> in 1493, the paintings of Francesco Beccaruzzi and Palma il Giovane. In Conegliano there is the native home of the famous painter Giambattista Cima where you can admire, in addition to the reproductions of the paintings, a small archaeological museum.
\nConegliano in addition to being a town rich in art and culture is the land of the Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG<\/strong>, a fine, fresh and elegant wine. For those who want to discover the Prosecco Superiore the Wine Route<\/em> begins in Conegliano.
\nTo remember that until April the 15th<\/strong>, at Sarcinelli Palace, will be held\u00a0 the exhibition<\/strong> about Bellotto<\/strong><\/a>, during which will be exhibited forty paintings of Bernardo Bellotto along with the artworks of other painters such as Canaletto<\/strong>, Marieschi<\/strong>, Guardi<\/strong> and Carlevarijs<\/strong>.
