This time we have interviewed Marco<\/strong>, owner of the farm house \u201cLa Fonte\u201d<\/strong><\/a>, situated in the green Umbrian hills<\/strong> just 10 minutes from Perugia<\/strong>, surrounded by 18 acres of woods, meadows, olive groves and hazel.<\/p>\n

When did you start the activity?<\/strong>
\nWe opened the farm house in 2011.<\/em><\/p>\n

Why did you decide to open a farm house?<\/strong>
\nWe liked the idea of living in the countryside and opening a farm house so in 2005 we decided to buy a property and renovate it.<\/em><\/p>\n

Did you live there before?<\/strong>
\nNo, I always lived in the countryside, but in Milan and I did a completely different job. We chose this region because of the centrality, as it is situated in the heart of Italy, and for the beauty of the landscape. The thing we like most about this place is that despite being in the countryside, surrounded by the nature, we are just 10 minutes from Perugia.<\/em><\/p>\n

Which typical products it is possible to taste in your farm house?<\/strong>
\nWe do not offer food service, but here it is possible to taste our extra virgin organic olive oil of excellent quality, with a rate of 0.01% of acidity, with a delicate flavor; we don\u2019t sell it but we offer it to our guests.<\/em><\/p>\n

Which activities do you do?<\/strong>
\nGuests come here mainly for relaxing near the swimming pool, walking in the nearby woods and visit the beautiful villages in the surrounding area; in fact, we are in a strategic position to visit the most beautiful places of Umbria, reached maximum in forty minutes by car. We also have a lake where guests can fish.<\/em>
\nWe try also to involve the guests in the activities of the farm house<\/em>, organizing cooking classes, accompanying them to pick mushrooms, wild asparagus and olives.<\/em><\/p>\n

What is the aspect that characterizes your structure?<\/strong>
\nOur strong point is the position as we are in the nature, surrounded by forests, but in only 10 minutes it is possible to reach the center of Perugia. Moreover guests are welcomed in apartments furnished with care, as if they were \u201can extension\u201d of our house, for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Finally, we live in the farm house so we are always at the guests\u2019 disposal.<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/strong>Which is your greatest satisfaction about your activity?<\/strong>
\nWe have opened the farm house in July and my wife and I were a little afraid because we did not know what we would have expected. The greatest satisfaction was\u00a0 to see the guests happy to have spent their holidays here.<\/em>
\n One episode I remember with pleasure; last year, we organized a dinner with all guests in the garden of the farm house and seeing that they were experiencing the vacation that they had imagined made me happy.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
