The Santa Maria farmhouse lies in the heart of Umbria near San Venanzo and the historic towns of Orvieto, Todi, Assisi and Perugia in the protected area of Monte Peglia Park.The farmholidays is owned by a French chef, Daniel Boutet, his Italian wife, Architect Rosaria Iacovino. Here the family (two sons Emanuel and Francesco) live in an uncontaminated hillside paradise among oak trees and streams on property which has been in the family for several generations.It is perfect for guests wishing to tour the hilltowns, monasteries and architecture of Umbria and stay in a rural friendly family atmosphere. At Agritourism Santa Maria, we offer self contained suites (with kitchenettes, living rooms and individual terraces) for two to thirty guests for groups or family holidays.The farmhouse is in a seventeenth century renovated fieldstone which has architecturally designed additions including a common ‘great room’ with fireplace, library, meditation room, covered meeting and dining terraces with barbeque wood-burning oven for pizzas and roasts, and an outdoor salt water swimming pool overlooking Umbria. The farmhouse is artistically furnished with items from the original family villa.

Hello, we are the Boutet Family. This is me and my family, Daniel , Rosaria , Emanuel ,Francesco. We have been working here with our staff for 21 years. and together with our two little dogs Gilda and Tony. we cook for the guests, we cultivate our fields and we welcome the travellers and we rear animals. We decided to manage a farm to meet new and interesting people make them feel at home, relax and enjoy this natural heritage that since 2018 has been recognized by UNESCO with the MAB Man & Biosphere certification. Our guests particularly enjoy our traditional cuisine, as well as the geographical position of our farm. an oasis of peace and well-being where you can relax among oaks and olive groves with panoramic views towards Rotecastello, an ancient medieval village on the slopes of Monte Peglia. The architect Rosaria Iacovino, owner for generations of this company, He loved her deeply from childhood.

This wonderful agriturismo is placed in one of the most beautiful regions in Italy. The rooms and facilities are authentic "typical Italian style" and very cosy and clean. Rosaria, Daniel and all the staff members are very warm, welcoming and helpful. Also the surroundings are amazing: Umbria does not only offer small medieval villages to discover, but also green nature, hills and mountains and forest.
