Agricultural activities and animal husbandry are the focus of a significant increase in operating expenses. According to the data gathered by Ismea, the institution in charge of market research on the performance of the first sector, are cattle feeds to have recorded the strongest rise since 2012. Their price is increased by 12% compared to last year’s rates.

The general data about a rise of about 12%, while the readings for the individual types of feed are recorded even increases by more than 40%, as in the specific case of flours. Obviously an important chapter is on products related to energy consumption. Among the strongest increases are those related to electricity, which cost has increased by 5.5%. The assumptions on farms grow, but it is important not to overlook these data, which can really affect a sector of absolute centrality in the Italian economy.
