It’s summer, but we carry on with the events of the next few months, when the autumn will come, along with many festivals dedicated to the food and wonderful world of Italian folklore. Today we speak of the chestnut, one of the symbols of the season immediately following summer.
The festivals dedicated to chestnuts are so many, and today we will suggest that of Roncegno Terme (province of Trento), to be held on October 19 and 20.
Another very interesting event will be the Chestnut Festival in Marradi (province of Florence), to be held October 7 to 21, with the opportunity to taste many dishes that have the chestnut as the main ingredient.
If you are in Lazio, you can instead mark the date of October 6, when in Soriano nel Cimino (province of Viterbo) the Chestnut Festival will take place, which will be a very attractive opportunity not only because of thechance to taste the roasted chestnuts on the square, but also because of numerous historical reenactments in costume linked to the medieval period.
It’s summer, and many of you are lying on the beach, enjoying the pleasures of the season to come. Why not maing them even more interesting by spending a few days at a farmhouse?
