Immersed in the green rolling hills of the Sibillini mountains, only a few kilometers from the small hilltop town of Smerillo, Il Vecchio Tasso is a family run business offering a piece of Italy to all its guests. A splendid stone country house fully restored in keeping with the style of the local area.Our five rooms and one small apartment are comfortable and welcoming in every detail, able to accomodate for couples, families and groups. Painted in pastel colours with exposed wooden beems and ceilings, in keeping with the country style of a passed era. Furnishings are simple and functional with great care given to detail to ensure that every one of our rooms offers a comfortable and relaxing stay. All rooms are ensuite (with shower, hairdryer and soaps), individually contolled air conditioning and access to free Wifi for internet connection.Our air conditioned restaurant can accomodate our guests in total comfort. In the warmer months it is possible to eat outside on the sunlit balcony overlooking the garden and hills, or inside our gazebo, where you can feel the open space and relax whilst eating the wonderful food being served. Here you will enjoy a menu of homemade and local dishes. All the products used here at Il Vecchio Tasso are either home grown in our garden or purchased from local producers. These include fruit, vegetables, cakes, cheese, extra virgin olive oil, wine, meat, honey...A sunlit arcade overlooks the tranquil landscape with stunning views of the area. Here it is easy to relax and let go of the stresses of everyday life as you enjoy the charm and peace of the surroundings. At the disposal of guests is a swimming pool with sun lougers and large parasoles. The perfect zone to spend the hotter hours of the day. A large gazebo offers the perfect place to read or simply relax in the shade and still enjoy the beautiful surroundings.

Breakfast

A buffet italian breakfast comprising of: milk, tea, coffee, biscuits, homemade cake, fruit juice, yogurt, cereals, homemade jams, butter and bread is served every morning between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m.
