Description Romitorio

Romitorio is a farmhouse on the border between Umbria and Tuscany, between the provinces of Siena and Perugia, near Castiglione del Lago, 5 kilometres from lake Trasimeno. Its seventeenth-century church, dedicated to Saint Anthony the Abbot, is testimony to its deep historical roots.

The farmhouse is open all year around for country holidays, week-long breaks and weekends. It consists of 11 apartments, each with its own separate kitchen, with swimming pool and tennis court. The 11 apartments have all been lovingly restored. The sizes vary but all have their own kitchen and bathroom with shower. Some have a wood-burning fireplace. The small groups of apartments are separated from each other by well kept grounds which convey a feeling of absolute tranquillity: swimming pools, tennis court, fishing ponds, footpaths, olive groves and vineyards, fruit trees, evergreen bushes and centuries old trees and plants, all blend beautifully to create a charming picture.

Services Agritourisme

The tennis courts, archery equipment, outdoor bowling alley, children’s playground ping pong, communal area, barbeques, bicycles and mountain bikes, are all available for our guests to use, completely free of charge. For shooting enthusiasts there is a shooting range close by. Guided tours, baby-sitting are available on request. Pet Animals are welcome.

Description Du Domaine (Pérouse)

The oldest part of the house is a 17th century church dedicated to St. Antonio Abate. This part of the country, famous all over the world for the intense yet peaceful colours of its countryside, is surrounded by 3 lakes: Trasimeno, Montepulciano and Chiusi, each only a short distance away. Some of Umbria’s and Tuscany’s most famous cities are only a short drive away, Siena, Arezzo, Perugia, Assisi and Gubbio to name but a few.
