The Orta Lake is located in Piemonte in Novara and Verbano-Cusio-Ossola territories. His location is important because it is near renowned touristic destinations as Valsesia and Mottarone, which is one of the most important ski resorts in this area. The Orta Lake is famous also for the San Giulio Island: a legend tells about a dragon living in the Lake depth.
