DESCRIPTION FARM-HOUSE COSCIO DI BADIA

The historical and aristocratic family of Gaetani is waiting for you at their area at Coscio di Badia at Naro village, which is considered to be one of the most important capitals of Sicilian baroque. The farm has a size of about 100 ha, it is situated in a hilly zone, rich of vineyards and fruit trees. You can enjoy a panorama of incredible beauty, which invites you to relax. The hospitality is provided by six mini appartments and three rooms, equipped with modern comfort. The old farm houses as well as the rooms have got a careful restauration. You can stay there in absolute privacy, but they are connected as well to the central building by private lanes. You can enjoy the quiet fields or take part in farm life, helping to collect fruits, olives and grapes as well as just watching the harvest. If you like, you can learn how to prepare marmelade or jam by the traditional system, or even to prepare on your own conserved products with our help. The restaurant is situated in an antique “baglio”, which is waiting for you to try any popular traditional meals or the fantastic cooking of “monsú”, taken from the old recipes of our Casa Gaetani d’Oriseo. It is very easy and pleasant to spend your time at the farm: with horseback riding, mountainbiking of walking around the lake where, in case you want, you can go fishing. If you want to explore the area around, we can help you to discover any unusual targets as well as surprising places: Naro, the baroque city, Palma di Montechiaro, the famous country of the “Leopard”, Mussomeli with its own Middle Age castle, the splendid lake of Licata and San Leone and - just a few kilometers away - Agrigento with its Greek valley of the temples, the romanic mosaiques of Piazza Armerina, Caltagirone with the famous ceramics and Caltanissetta with the Easter performance of the crucial way of Jesus Christ.

DESCRIPTION ROOMS

The farm has various types of rooms, from an individual to have a relaxing and living the lonely holiday with complete relax, coming up to a maximum of four beds (apartment) for those who prefer to holiday in company of friends or family. But the fun combined with a healthy dose of nature and relax tasting typical of the post due to our services is guaranteed.Currently the company is able to accommodate 20 people. Are underway for further restructuring of three other buildings in order to bring hospitality to 55 people. We are building an area reserved for campers who love the features of pitches and services.
He old abbey with its courtyard has became the restaurant for the guests. We offer typical Sicilian fare from the agriculture tradition and directly made in our estate and an enjoyable wine, oil, meal and a lot of other self made products.
