Corte Nigella is a typical Mantuan courtyard immersed in the peacefulness of the country, in the shelter of the main bank of the River Po.
We raise pot – herbs, officinal herbs, fruits, vegetables, hay, everything strictly produced without chemical products. A wide part of the farm is committed to the equestrian centre where English ride lessons are given together with fence, dressage.
Cities of art such as Mantua, Ferrara, Verona, Venice are at almost an hour’s drive. The farm holidays offers lodging in the rooms on hand of the hosts with bathes independent, television, heating and conditioning.
In the cosy owner’s small halls guests can enjoy the old recipes of the country reworked with creativity: tortelli di zucca (kind of parcel of filled pasta) with poppy seeds and walnut.
Following the seasons and the vegetable garden available products, particular gastronomic combinations thanks to the use of flowers and pot – herbs (onion soup with calendula flowers) are proposed. Kitchen course and theme nights are organized.
Open on Friday night for groups ( at least 6 persons) , on Saturday night and on Sunday for lunch.
