The farmhouses of Emilia Romagna do not give up to the earthquake. This is the message emerging from the survey carried out by Agriturismi.it among the owners of the facilities in the areas hit by the recent seismic events.
The will to start again is strong, notwithstanding a sensible decrease in reservations and a great number of cancellations for the summer months. In front of information which often seems to be imprecise and incomplete, the necessity emerges to relaunch and support tourism in this region, at the opening of the summer season.
It must be stressed that great part of the facilities located in areas not directly involved did not undergo any damage, nor activity disruption. The fact that many farmhouses have agreed to welcome people who have been evacuated from their houses proves the safety of the facilities themselves for welcoming guests.
The offers and proposals put forward by the farmhouses of Emilia Romagna are multiple and varied, focusing on the promotion of local products, on restaurants and on special packages.
It is fundamental that disinformation does not cause further damages to a territory that has already been so hardly struck, by reassuring both Italian and foreign tourists about the actual extent of risks, and by encouraging them to spend the next holidays at the farmhouses of Emilia Romagna.
