On the hills of Reggio Emilia, just a 15-minute drive from the city centre, Agriturismo Cavazzone boasts a historic property spread over 300 hectares of meadows and woods. From every point you can enjoy an extraordinary panorama over the plain. The property, built in 1880 by Baron Franchetti, was frequented by famous people including musicians Puccini and Mascagni. In the following years, and up to the present day, the property has adapted to the social and economic changes of our time. Today it is an elegant farm open to tourism, with a typical restaurant in the old stable, 6 spacious suites, a meeting room and an old vinegar cellar. In the surrounding area, we recommend visits to the nearby city of Reggio Emilia, the Castles of Matilde di Canossa, the Ferrari Car Gallery in Maranello, and the cities of Parma, Mantua and Reggio Emilia. The area is truly rich in opportunities for food and wine and cultural visits.
All rooms are very spacious and have traditional and elegant furniture. Bathrooms are very comfortable and recently renewd. The two suites are air conditioned.
