Your company is family-run, which are its origins?
On the cadastral maps of the Grand Duchy of Tuscany, since 1797 the family property Andreini has been present, a historic Tuscan family. For generations we have been working these lands, and in the ’80s, thanks to government incentives, we renovated the houses and had them converted into guest rooms.
What binds you to the surrounding area?
Our origins, in fac we were born and raised on this land and we have worked and lived here ever since. This is our business and we work with passion and above all with care for the earth that hosts us.
As a farm, which products do you offer?
We are an intensive farm: we have a herd of Chianina, our strength, 4 hectares of vine and 4 acres of olive trees. We grow barley, wheat, hay and our two gardens produce all the products we use in our kitchen.
What’s interesting in the area where you are located?
We’re surrounded by historical and archaeological sites that are very interesting and from different periods: Etruscan, Medieval and Renaissance. In addition to this, Siena is just 10 km from here and Montalcino, popular for its excellent wine, is 40 km from our farmhouse.
