Emilia_RomagnaLittle more than one year has passed from the devastating earthquake that hit part of Emilia Romagna, a land where agriculture plays a vital role. These days a very relevant document was presented, The Report of Food Farming 2012, sponsored by the collaboration between the Region of Emilia Romagna and Unioncamere.

Among the data which received most attention it is worth noting the increase of farmhouses. Despite the obvious difficulties of managing agricultural activities in general, 2012 was a year that saw a growth in the number of farmhouses by 2%, with an interesting increase in the presence of tourists who decided to spend their holidays in the middle of the nature (approximately 4.5%).

These positive data lead to optimism for the reconstruction work, following the earthquake damages that have been estimated at more than two billion euros.
