The apple is one of the most popular fruits, and it is an essential part of the Italian cooking tradition. There are lots of events dedicated to it, and we will guide you to discover some of them. The first one takes us to Lombardy, where on 1 October we’ll find the Apple and Grape Festival, which takes place in Villa di Tirano, in the province of Sondrio.

It is a celebration that involves the whole village, with many initiatives related to the role of apples in cooking, the local wine, and craft products of wood and iron.

On 20 October the Apple Festival takes place in Coassolo Torinese, a fine little town that is worth a visit because of its favorable position in the Lanzo Valley.

From 1 to 4 November the festival Apples and Honey takes place in Baceno (province of Verbania), and that is a true celebration of good food.
