With enthusiasm and passion, Rodolfo, the owner of the Farming Holiday Village Dodo Village, accompanies us and immerses us into this magical nature outside Arezzo. This accommodation is “eco-radical chic”, and features a natural ceiling full of stars and emotions.

How did the idea to undertake this activity originate?
Everything was born in the mind of a great traveler … that’s me. I’ve always loved traveling and I did as much as possible! And here, in this former motocross track abandoned 10 years ago, I wanted to recreate the sensory aspects of my journeys. Sight, touch, smell, hearing and taste are the means to recreate such experiences.

What kind of activities related to this main theme do you organize?
We’re developing the project “Path tents in the world”, in order to recreate and connect different cultures through the symbol of the tent. We already have 3 Mongolian tents (one of 50 sqm) the Yurt, and we are looking for more of different origins. Also, since we believe that the blanket of stars above us is the highlight of our activities, we organize “evenings of astronomical observatory.”

And what do you love the most of your area?
I really believe that this farmhouse is located in an ideal location, full of peace and serenity. I believe the sky above us is wonderful and that it affects our environment a great deal.

What kind of products do you offer to your guests?

We offer local products, as we did on December 2, 2012: while everyone feared the end of the world, we organized the “Festival of the Maya”, preparing a dinner of typical food of the Mayan civilization.

In conclusion, what are the recommended routes in your surroundings?
Well, we are very close to Arezzo and certainly a highlight is the path of “Piero della Francesca”, passing through San Sepolcro and Monterchi; another location not to be missed is the one of the Monasteries, very beautiful!
