SMEs are realities that are suffering so much from the financial crisis. The farms are part of this area in considerable difficulty, for which, however, good news has just arrived. We talk about the news of signing an agreement between the Cia (Italian Farmers Confederation) and the Abi (Italian Banking Association).
The agreement is designed to facilitate access to credit by SMEs active in the agricultural sector. The measures provide for aid as an extension to 270 days for the repayment of the credit, and the possible suspension of up to 12 months for payment of any installments related to mortgages in the medium and long term.
These measures are important: they will not solve definitively the problems of shortage of funds, but that may be a starting point of no small importance to discuss the importance of the role of public debts in the path of survival of farms.
