2 km from the Battipaglia exit, 20 km south of Salerno, amidst centuries-old olive groves, citrus orchards, vineyards and a small forest where a group of donkeys live in the wild, lies the 17th-century building of the Masseria Sparano. An eight-hectare farm, run by people who treat guests as family, not far from the beauty of the Picentini Mountains, the Amalfi coast, the excavations of Pompeii and the temples of Paestum. The farm has been working as an Agritourism since 1997, and since 2004 it has been recognised as an Educational Farm by the Campania Region, for the high quality organic produce it produces.
