Our commitment

Our commitment to sustainable rural tourism

Since 1999 we have told the story of authentic rural Italy. We believe in slow, positive tourism on a human scale: not crowded hotspots, but the villages, farms and rural traditions that make our country unique. For us, promoting farm stays is already a sustainable choice.

Green tourism, not over-tourism

While a few art cities burst with visitors, thousands of rural places remain to be discovered. Agriturismi.it spreads tourist flows towards the countryside and small towns: less pressure on overcrowded destinations, more value for forgotten areas. It is tourism that regenerates instead of consuming.

Real zero-km, guaranteed by law

On a farm stay, "zero-km" is not a slogan: it is a legal requirement. Italian law (Law 96/2006) requires the property to be a genuine farm and its kitchen to use mainly its own or local produce. Those who host, cultivate. That is why a farm-stay kitchen is a short supply chain guaranteed by law, not a mere self-declaration.

Bringing rural life to light

Our job is to give visibility to those who protect the landscape: family farms, educational farms, small producers. Every property we feature is a piece of countryside kept alive, a craft that continues, a village that does not empty out.

Concrete green choices

  • Filters for a sustainable holiday: charging points for electric cars, zero-km produce, educational farms, organic and certified production (PDO, PGI, DOC/DOCG).
  • Green energy: agriturismi.it is hosted on renewable-energy infrastructure, independently verified by the Green Web Foundation.

Transparency, not greenwashing

We do not use sustainability as a mere label. We only tell what is real and verifiable: the rules farm stays follow by law, the certifications of the properties, and the renewable energy of our hosting.
