Florence (50 km), Siena (40 km) and Pisa (60 km) are easily reached in motorcar or by train. It takes no more than 15 to 30 minutes to drive to San Gimignano (15 km) and to the Chianti Classico area. At La Canonica you will have the pleasure of discovering the elegance of its accommodations, the excellence of Tuscan cuisine, the great wines of our family's farms and our horses, trained in one of the most prestigious breeding farms in Europe. Horseback rides along the trails within our estate will allow you to enjoy the unique panorama of the hills of Tuscany from a different prospective. For trekking enthusiasts we recommend walks through the paddocks where our extraordinary animals live. The restaurant, the small piazza, the terrace overlooking the training arena and the spacious garden with large swimming pools will grant you moments of absolute peace and tranquillity in contact with nature, offering you an unforgettable stay. The holiday farm's interior decoration was specially realized with fine furniture and antiques, and thought out in every detail in order to offer you a warm and elegant ambiance. The La Canonica Restaurant offers traditional Tuscan and Florentine dishes prepared following ancient recipes and with organic ingredients. The à la carte menu presents a wide choice of starters, first courses featuring homemade pasta and second courses. Our dishes are conceived to satisfy every taste and demand; vegetarian and gluten-free dishes are also available. You can taste the famous wines produced on our farm, "Villa Poggio a Varna", that perfectly accompany all the dishes on our menu. The elegance of the dining rooms and the beauty of the views from the spacious terrace make the La Canonica Restaurant the perfect place to celebrate any kind of event or reception, such as christenings, communions and confirmations, weddings, business dinners, graduation parties, birthdays and anniversaries. On particular occasions theme evenings are organized with flavours and fragrances belonging to all different types of cuisine.
