Hello, I'm Angela and together with my husband and my parents, I will welcome you to our agriturismo ready to introduce you to the wonders of our region and, if you wish, you'll also be able to see our farm activities up close. We have been an organic farm for many years, our love for the countryside and respect for our surroundings convinced us to pursue and maintain the organic path in animal husbandry as well.
Our farm lies in the beautiful and fascinating hills surrounding Volterra. All around is deep green in spring, golden in summer and with many shades of brown in autumn and winter. There is so much to discover here - Volterra with 3000 years of history, from the Etruscans to the Romans through the Middle Ages up to modetimes is still a lively town in the heart of Tuscany. Our farm offers simple but comfortable hospitality in cosy and carefully restored rooms and flats in a genuine country atmosphere. Of primary importance is that we farm our land with biological methods – the basis for slow food. Our Agriturismo Biologico Bellaria, meaning Organic Farm Good Air, is named after the winds especially from the nearby Mediterranean sea.
We offer apartments with independent entry, rooms with bathroom, independent heating, private garden, barbecue, and TV. These keep the names of their former function, such as: - CANTINA (Cellar): Room + Bathroom + Kitchen. - TRINCIATOIO (Cutting room): Room with Bathroom. - GRANAIO (Granary): Room + Bathroom + Kitchen. - MANGIATOIA (Crib): Room with Bathroomr. All the apartments and rooms can be independent or put together! Guests can choose from various possibilities of accommodations according to their own needs. Every apartment has independent entrance, autonomous heating, private garden, barbecue, TV and safe.

Our Agriturismo is like an oasis in the wonderful landscape of the hills surrounding Volterra. If you love nature, you will be happy to let your eyes wander over the hills with their soft colours or go for long walks, mountain bike rides or on horseback. The nearby swimming pool will refresh you! It is a magic scenery that takes you back in time and history. You will know more about the still mysterious Etruscan history by visiting Volterra’s Acropolis, or the famous Etruscan museum with its rich collection, among which the famous “Ombra della Sera” (a small sculpture called Evening Shadow). What remains of the Etruscan city wall still shows the importance of the town in those times. Of the Roman period among others there is the beautiful Roman theatre (1st century after C.). But Volterra has maintained its Medieval character and the Piazza dei Priori is one of Italy’s most beautiful squares. San Gimignano 5 km away, Siena 40 km, Pisa 60 km, Florence 70 km.
