In the hill, in the calm of the Valley of Aosta, a home of epoch of the end of the eighteen century will welcome you with the rural simplicity of an old country house. Centenary vaults in stone, bricks of ancient workmanship tell a history of solid serenity, warmth and life. The Maison des Vignerons is in Donnas, in the outlying ward Grand Vert, among the vineyards of the production of the homonym wine, first DOC of the valley of Aosta. here are six rooms at the disposal of the guests, all furnish ones maintaining the style of the old country houses, with private bathroom (shower), floors in wood, spacious sunny balconies and centralized heating. Some of them are furnished with the furniture of the family and utensils of country tradition. The furnishings, different in every room, are the work of local artisans, heirs of the traditional art of the wood and the iron. A lot of care has been set in the choice and in the combining of the colours. The artistic historical ties as well as the respect of the environment, has not allowed the installation of the system of conditioning. The rooms with the thick stone walls are however fresh in the summer. The rooms have suggestive names, suggested by the secular tradition of the wine-growers of the family. Every room takes the name of the cultivated wines in the low Valley of Aosta, some of which of great interest also from the oenological point of view, is strongly risking the extinction and survives only in few unities.
