How did this farmhouse originate?
The land on which our farmhouse stands, until a few years ago was the property of Bicocchi, a noble family from the area. Guado Al Sole is one of these houses in disuse, which was purchased by us, renovated and used as a farmhouse.
What characterizes your area?
We’re very keen to point out the place where our farmhouse is located and give value to the territory that hosts us. In fact Guado Al Sole is located in the Val di Cecina, in particular it is surrounded by 550 hectares of hunting grounds, completely pristine, so that the nearer village, Pomarance, is 12 km away from us.
What are the typical dishes that you offer?
Our restaurant, which is rustic and cozy, offers the typical dishes of the Tuscan tradition, such as Ribollita and wild boar meat. We also always accompany our dishes with our house wines.
What kind of services characterize your farmhouse?
This facility features a stunning panoramic pool, which overlooks the endless hills, more than 10 different types of accommodation, depending on the needs of the guests. But what most distinguishes us is the extremely familiar atmosphere, in fact, if you try our restaurant, you will be served by the owner.
Are there any special places to visit close to your farmhouse?
Guado Al Sole is located near some of the most characteristic towns of Tuscany such as Volterra, Siena and San Gimignano, and it is also located just 40 km from the sea.
