The farmhouse, surrounded by citrus groves and oleanders, can offer a charming atmosphere: a few steps from the famous Bay of the Turks, it is only 3 km from the town of Otranto, home of the 15th-century Castle which gave its name to the first gothic novel of history and of an ancient cathedral that contains one of the most precious mosaics in the world.
Not far away is also Lecce, also known as the “Florence of the South”, with its lovely Baroque architecture and crafts, and Santa Maria di Leuca, the pearl of Salento which according to legend was the first landing of Aeneas and later of St. Peter the Apostle, who began his work of evangelization from here.
