In 2012, the father of the family, a building contractor, decided to restore the ruins of his grandparents' farmhouse, which had been abandoned for over twenty years. The following year he opened the agritourism: 2013, the bicentenary of Giuseppe Verdi's birth, and it is no coincidence that the rooms bear the composer's name and house memorabilia and references to his story. The father has passed away, but Le Bassanine remains what he built, now carried forward by his children.
The structure is located in the Piacenza countryside, just minutes from the Castelvetro Piacentino motorway exit and a stone's throw from the Po river. The on-site restaurant specializes in typical Piacenza cuisine, with a menu that changes according to the season and the fresh produce available.
The spaces also host events: weddings, christenings, communions, confirmations, corporate dinners, and graduation celebrations.
