The La Crocetta farmhouse is part of an 18th century estate that also includes the villa that belonged to the noble Dondini family and was later inhabited by Marquis Marsili The name 'La Crocetta' is due to the location of the farm on the important crossroads of two Roman centurial axes, on which the oratory of S. Croce was also erected. Today, for more than three generations, La Crocetta has belonged to the families Forni-Capponcelli families, who have always been involved in agricultural cultivation. Grandfather Forni's dream was to form a small hamlet where people from the surrounding village could come together and offer them various types of services, such as shops and shops, and an inn where people could keep company while eating and drinking typical local products grown directly on their own farms. At present, grandfather Forni's wish has been realised through a careful restoration of the house, maintaining several architectural details typical of the 1700s.
