OUTSIDES
The Dimina farm is located on a hill within the Natural Reserve of Belice enclave. The place gives
gorgeous perspectives, beautiful panoramas looking at the Mediterranean sea. The outsides
are full of green vegetation and many colored flowers. It is also possible to make trekking and
pleasant walks along a wonderful ride that leads to the Belice river.

HOW TO ARRIVE

The Dimina farm is simple to reach, it‘s located in the weste side of Sicily near Trapani,
between the cities of Agrigento and Castelvetrano.The resort is 70 Km far from Trapani/Birgi
airport and 80 Km far from Falcone-Borsellino airport. The zone is full of historical interests, like
the ancient greek archeological site of Selinunte and the Temple of Concordia of Agrigento. In the
neighborhood you can also find the enchanting beaches of the mediterranean sea.

Castelvetrano was erected in XII century by Norman. To visit the center of town how is possible
walking along three linked squares arrouded by many monuments and churchs. The main square is
Piazza Garibaldi which is adorned with many fine buildings including the Palazzo Ducale seat of
the lord of Castelvetrano and also the town's principal church, the Chiesa Madre, which in its
present form dates back to the 16th century. Inside the church are preserved stuccoes by Giacomo
Serpotta. The church of St.Domenico was erected in the 1470 on the ruins of the ancient Santa
Maria del Gesù church were is possible to admire wonderfull frescoes by different centuries. The
patron saint Giovanni Bastista is celebrated on 24th of June.

Selinunte is an ancient Greek archeological site, one of the most gorgeous in the world and the
biggest in Europe emplaced near by Castelvetrano. The foundations of the site was the work of
Megera Hyblea people around 628 before Christ. The archaeological site contains five temples
centered on an acropolis.Among the many discoveries of Greek its possible admired the statue of
the Efebo inside the Castelvetrano civic museum.

Castelvetrano its also coastal town overlooking the Mediterranean sea, famous are the fractions of
Marinella di Selinunte an ancient fishing village, which now offers the possibility to make sea
excursions by old vessels and Triscina di Selinunte. These two fishing villages are located
approximately 12 km far from the city center. The amazing beaches stretchs for 6 km and attracts
every years thousands of tourists.

Events:
In the third week of August people celebrated the Selinunte patron Saint with an impressive
procession called the "Celebrations of the Sacred Heart of Mary". During the procession the statue
goes from the centre of the little seatown to the sea and its continued by boats. The procession ends
with sparkling fireworks that close the evening.
