The “Ippocastano” is an old cottage, which lies at the foot of the pleasant hill of Cortona, rich in history and culture. Due to its location makes it possible to easily visit the most beautiful cities of art (Cortona, Arezzo, Siena, Florence, Pienza, Montepulciano, Montalcino, Perugia, etc..) and at the same time relaxing around the lovely pool or enjoying the hot tub (5 seats). The cottage is located close to the "Wine Route" Terre di Arezzo and hosted it (in 2002) the cast of the film: "Under the Tuscan Sun" - "UNDER THE TUSCAN SUN" adapted from the homonymous book by Frances Mayes. The cottage is situated at the foot of the pleasant hill of Cortona and it is the result of long and accurate restorations.The scent of flowers and aromatic plants frame the lovely swimming pool (available from May to September) surrounded by lush landscaping, equipped with outdoor furniture such as chairs, chairs, umbrellas and tables. Feature is also a tavern which is open in front of the pool where you can spend pleasant moments in the shade reading a good book and relaxing! A wonderful oasis in the vicinity of all services and facilities (200 meters you will find shops, supermarkets, railway station, bus stop), to offer everything you need for a dream vacation! A strategic position then, that allows tourists to enjoy comfort without neglecting the important essential peace of mind. Possible activities: bike rental for touring the many beautiful places nearby, visits to Etruscan tombs and discoveries in the area, stop in the golden beaches of Lake Trasimeno (10 minutes by car). Tennis instructors are available (fee) in a sport cente ear dell'Ippocastano. In the nearby there are also swimming pools with water park, children's games, horse, riding with a riding school.
