Il_Greppo_What origins has the structure of your house?

Very old! These lands were part of the great estates of the Medici family of Florence and had been organized in the form of farms administered by “Scrittoio delle Regie Possessioni”, that is the state apparatus which looked after the interests of the Princely House. Then in 1600 some of these lands were sold by Frederick II.

Since when has your family managed this facility?

The farmhouse “Il Greppo” has belonged to our family since 1962. It is located in a completely natural setting and it consists of approximately 60 hectares, including vineyards and olive groves, at an altitude of 300 meters above sea level in the hills of Montepulciano overlooking the Valchianina.
