Located only six kilometres away from the splendid beaches of the Ionian Sea, the villa of “Cucullera” offers the ideal solution for enjoying relaxing moments in the cool and peace of the evening. Its close vicinity to the sea and to one of the best-known tourist areas in this territory allows for combining rest and relaxation with a bit of excitement, as famous attractions such as Copanello and Soverato on one side and Pizzo Calabro and Tropea on the other, can be reached in no time at all. For mountain lovers, the Sila is only an hour away with its mountains, lakes and rivers, including the Alli River that flows right past the farm itself. The “Cuccullera” Villa is also the perfect starting point for cultural trips to both the Tyrrhenian and Ionian coasts. In fact, the region of Calabria is rich in art and history with the museum of Reggio with its splendid bronze statues, the Basilica of Stilo, Gerace, Capo Colonna, and a myriad of other interesting sites. Six spacious apartments offering the utmost in comfort have been created inside the eighteenth century Villa of “Cucullera”, enhanced by two turreted towers giving it the appearance of a fortress. As the villa sits in the middle of a farm filled with orange and clementine trees irrigated at night, the cool breezes from the Sila ensure you always have a comfortable stay. The limited number of apartments (some with air-conditioning) also guarantee peace and quiet. In order to satisfy the needs of all our guests, it is possible to eat outside in the garden, the courtyard, or in the towers and there is the use of barbecues (with wood supplied), outdoor showers, and even a dog kennel.
