Located in a 16th-century palazzetto nestled in the Mediterranean maquis, just four kilometres from the sea at Maiori and easily reached from the Chiunzi Pass, Pietrarosa lets you experience the silence of a still unspoilt landscape and opens up opportunities for extraordinary natural and cultural experiences. The house is surrounded by a terraced garden and a D. O. C. Amalfi Coast. There are many corners in which to take refuge in the shade of the pergolas of roses and vines to enjoy the coolness, perhaps after a day at the sea; there is a splendid solarium on the large panoramic terrace surrounded by a lemon grove where one can enjoy the view of the valley that closes in a triangle of sea. The rooms, each with private bathroom, with vaulted ceilings often decorated with stuccoes, are all panoramic. Personalised furnishings are inspired by the interests of the hostess: in the philosophy room a totem of philosophical classics ironically recalls many readings, the rose room evokes the collection of antique roses that characterises the garden, the room of the palmettes, of oriental inspiration, emphasises the motif of stylised palms that have appeared on the vaulted ceilings after restoration freed them from multiple layers of plaster. The common rooms, elegantly furnished with period furniture, are bright and welcoming. On the ground floor a rich library allows enthusiasts to immerse themselves in reading or listening to music; the large living room is a meeting place for friends to chat on the large sofas or in front of the fireplace, the dining room allows guests to start the day with a rich breakfast as if suspended over the green valley. On the first floor, a room with a large oven evokes different moments in the history of the house; from it one has access to the rooms and a small hob allows one to prepare a pleasant cup of tea at any time.
