If you head out of the historical village of Stellata, along the river bank and follow the “Destra Po” cycle path before the mouth of the Panaro river, you will reach Malcantone and encounter a secluded, tranquil and magical place. The CORTE STELLATA rural complex is set between the green countryside and the flood plains of the river Po and is protected by the river’s generous and imposing banks. Dating back to the 18th and 19th century, the complex was once owned by the noble Pepoli family and comprises a farmhouse, an old stable and a barn, surrounded by14,000 square metres of land. The house still displays an original terracotta panel engraved with the acronym DDP (Domus Dominus Pepolus), indicating that the complex belonged to the Pepoli family. In the 19th century, land surveyors from Ferrara, who described in their writings the various estates of this noble family, named the farmhouse and its land as “Possessione il Boscone”. The bahas been renovated and turned into three apartments, transforming it into a haven for travellers seeking peace, nature and history in a traditional setting, providing visitors with an authentic experience rarely found elsewhere. Ideally suited to a holiday in tune with the slow and relaxing rhythms of nature, Corte Stellata is a convenient starting point for trekking and cycling along stimulating nature trails, providing itineraries encompassing food, wine, art and culture or simply offering peace and relaxation.
Each apartment is equipped with a private bathroom, kitchenette, an independent heating system and air conditioning. The dimensions of the flats vary based on the type. (Studio 30 sq. m., Two-room flat 45 sq. m., Three-room flat 60 sq. m.). The apartments express our sincere and heartfelt love for old things from our homeland. They also show our attachment to all objects, large or small, belonging to folk and agricultural traditions, such as coarse surfaces and simply crafted, timewotables. We love searching for antique, forgotten objects and bringing them back to life.

The strategic position of the rural complex allows you to reach Ferrara in 30 minutes by car (22 km), in one hour many other splendid art cities such as Mantua (70 km), Bologna (70 km), Modena (65 km), Padua (80 km), Verona (80 km). The Po Delta Park, Comacchio, Mesola and the Abbey of Pomposa are also located 1 hour by car away. For mosaic lovers Ravenna is 1 hour and 15 minutes away (120 km) and Venice (110 km). For those who simply want to go trekking or do a bit of cycling there are several cycling routes such as the Destra Po cycle path that passes next to our country house or the "Burana" cycle path completely tree-lined that crosses the countryside and leads to the center of Ferrara.
