Situated on the Apennine ridge, on the edge of the ancient road that connects Florence to Ravenna passing through Faenza, the Pedrósola Farmhouse offers a stay in a green and harmonious landscape just a few steps from the Lamone river and a few kilometres from the ancient medieval village of Brisighella. The earliest records of the farmhouse date back to the 14th century, and the characteristic turret shape probably bears witness to this. The main activity carried out by the owner is beekeeping (there is also a small educational facility for guided visits to the beehives). Various types of honey (acacia, lime, chestnut, sunflower, forest honeydew, millefiori) and jams (currant, raspberry, blackberry, josta, gooseberry), certified by ICEA (Institute for Ethical and Environmental Certification - formerly AIAB), are produced organically. The agriturismo has 4 bedrooms with bathroom + 1 flat (2+2 beds). In the morning, a breakfast is served based on the farm's organic products: honey and jams. Catering, reserved only for guests of the agriturismo, is characterised by typical dishes based on farm or local products from environmentally friendly farming methods. Vegetarian menus or unusual dishes delighted by the flavours of the farm's honeys can be arranged. The farmhouse's location makes it easy to reach destinations such as Brisighella, Faenza, Bologna, Florence, Ravenna, Ferrara, the Adriatic Coast (bathing establishments) and the MIRABILANDIA amusement park. For nature lovers: the Parco delle Foreste Casentinesi (Casentino Forests Park), the Vena del Gesso (Chalk Vein) with the Carnè Park and the Tanaccia di Brisighella karst cave (13 km), the Po Delta (85 km) can all be reached, as well as numerous Cai (Italian Alpine Club) trails, mountain bike trails, horse riding, and river fishing, also in the vicinity of the farm.
It offers 4 rooms with en suite showers and toilets (max 11 persons) and an apartment (max 5 persons). The comfortable rooms have high ceilings with wooden beams and antique style furniture. They are situated on the first floor and have independent entry. From the rooms there are views along the valley and over out vineyards and fruits fields towards the Appenines. The cost of the room includes breakfast of our organic honey and jams certificated by the Italian organic food producers organisation ICEA, homemade bread and cake and tea, coffee, milk or juice to drink. Every 3 days we carried out the change of the linen and clean the room.
