The Farm Holiday "Rio Manzolo" is situated in the low hills of Romagna along the river Senio valley. The ancient proprietary double court building, belonging to the storic family Rondinini, derives its name Rio Manzolo from the brook rising beside it, once, probably for cattle farming. The house was built in medieval age and then it was rebuilt in 17th century with a small church near it dedicated to Our Lady of Sorrow. The farm is managed by Anna and Alberto and produces fruits, vegetables and grapes. Visitors can taste fresh fruits, conserves and wines, like "Sangiovese di Romagna" and "Trebbiano di Romagna". Guests can find accomodation in elegant and confortable rooms with bathroom, in an ancient and charming atmosphere, discovering the preserved details of the ancient building. I organized a day at this splendid agriturismo on the occasion of my birthday, together with about twenty friends. Excellent place with splendid view over the hills, swimming pool available all day (with an enormous surrounding lawn, deck chairs, beach volleyball field and table football). The lunch served was all excellently cooked and fresh: tagliatelle al ragù (and vegetarian sauce for me and two other friends, in fact they will have no problem cooking cruelty free on occasion), ravioli burro e salvia, potatoes with roast meat, sautéed vegetables, an excellent barley and vegetable salad, house wine, piadina and bread and coffee. All for a truly ridiculous price! The owners are truly welcoming and manage the agriturismo excellently! I will definitely come back
