In the heart of Carnia, at an altitude of 1,000 metres and immersed in the green of cool woods and pleasant meadows, the Fornâs farmhouse is the ideal place to spend days in absolute harmony with nature, thanks also to the relaxing walks along the many paths in the valley that go as far as the mountain pastures and touch upon the typical 'malghe' used for 'monticazione' (mountain grazing). One thus finds oneself immersed in an atmosphere that takes one back in time and lets one savour again the pleasure of the slow rhythms of nature. The farm is located just 10 kilometres from Tolmezzo. It is easily reached in 15 minutes along a completely asphalted road that leads from 325 metres at the bottom of the valley to the 1000 metres of Fornâs. The original building has recently been renovated and adapted to modern requirements, always keeping in mind full respect for tradition, with wood predominating with its 'scent of antiquity', which contributes to creating that warm family atmosphere that can be breathed in all the rooms that the Agriturismo makes available to guests. A common room for relaxing moments of reading and six rooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, for a total of sixteen beds have been created from the barn; the stable has become a cosy dining room. The cuisine is characterised by simplicity and the speciality of "homemade" products that favour traditional local dishes with the flavours and aromas of the land of Carnia; the "menus" are seasonal.
