At Castelvecchio di Rocca Barbena, 420 meters above sea level, the kitchen of Antico Melo brings to the table gnocchi alle olive, chestnut flour tagliolini, goat stew, and local cheeses and cured meats. The management is family-run, under the care of Maria Teresa Gherardi. The rooms overlook the Ligurian Alps and the village castle: from the window you can see everything.

When weather permits, lunch is served outdoors. The tasting menu remains the restaurant's main offering and requires reservation. Guests choosing the B&B find breakfast served without fixed times. Nothing complicated: dishes designed to be eaten, not photographed. The relationship between what you pay and what arrives at your table is honest, with no surprises on the bill.
