The village of Perinaldo stands on an enchanting hillside, halfway between San Remo and the Principality of Monaco. Down below, in this lovely environment, rather like an amphitheatre, Il Rifugio Di Artemide bids you welcome. Beauty and simplicity are on the bill. Cinzia, the mistress of the house, efficiently assisted by her sons Jan Paolo and Jan Marco, proposes seven accommodation units, all decorated in sober and elegant style. The four double bedrooms have been designed on the theme of flowers, paying warm homage to poppies, tulips, sunflowers and callas. The studio apartment takes inspiration from Japan, while the two apartments (for 2-4 and 2-7 guests) have borrowed the Provençal style. The 12.5 acres ofgrounds contain two streams, two vineyards producing a very natural and fragrant Rossese DOC, olive-trees giving oil of outstanding quality, Mediterranean vegetables, fig and various other fruit trees. With all these products, Cinzia and her mother concoct a varied cuisine, brimming with colour and bearing an open mind to other types of world cooking (courgette flowers, for example, cooked in batter tempura-style). In this luxuriant setting, restfulness is guaranteed, though there’s also a wide choice of activities. Among her many skills, Cinzia, a qualified translator, is also a sommelière and tourist guide. She can thus suggest many ideas for excursions and organize courses (biodance, yoga, verbal communication…) to make your stay truly unforgettable.

For our guests, we offer 4 brand new thematic rooms: double bedrooms (including one suite) with bathroom, simple, brand new, most romantic and bucolic. They are called I Girasoli, Le Calle, I Tulipani, I Papaveri. Each room is characterized by an original large-scale artwork of great plasticity that gives the room its name. All feature a private space in the adjoining Japanese-style garden to enjoy nature and the surrounding panorama, sunbathe, and relax. All are essential yet complete and beautiful. In the villa you will find the two-story Artemide Apartment accommodating 2-7 guests, featuring the frescoed Farfalle Bedroom, a living room with TV corner and kitchenette, a spacious terrace overlooking Perinaldo, an upper children's area with 3 beds, and a solarium that becomes a Wine & Tea Garden in the evening. A short distance away, on the coast, our Torre dei Gabbiani welcomes 2-4 guests weekly.

Surroundings (Perinaldo)

We are only a few minutes by car from the nice beaches from Bordighera or CamporossoWWF and bird-watching reserve (12 km). The Star Observatory from Perinaldo is just over us, 5 minutes by car away. Dolceacqua's medieval village and the famous 3D Visionarium are only 25 minutes by car from us. The same time you need for the famous Hanbury Garden or for the italian smallest principality of Seborga. Sanremo and Montecarlo cause the traffic need about 45 minutes travel. Nice Airport is only 1 hour away from us and Genova oldTown and Acquarium only 2 hours travel by car or by train.
