At the gates of the town of Sarzana, immersed in the countryside and surrounded by vineyards, Tenuta La Ghiaia preserves the integrity of its original location, restored according to the principles of ancient architecture. The vineyards, cultivated organically, stretch over five and a half hectares and are planted with Vermentino, Sangiovese, Merlot, Vermentino Nero, Massaretta, Albarolo, and Malvasia Bianca, producing wines that carry the scent of the sea: Vermentino Atys, Rosso Undicinodi, and the Vermentino Ithaa selection. A careful selection in the vineyard results in high-quality D. O. C. Colli di Luni wines, available for purchase directly at the estate’s welcoming tasting room. Additionally, extra virgin olive oil is produced on-site. Guests can enjoy five charming suites, each equipped with every comfort, tastefully furnished in a refined style. Upon request, visitors can access a gym, guided tours of the winery and vineyards, for a full immersion in relaxation. Special events and exclusive evenings make a visit to the estate truly unforgettable. Nearby, tennis courts, a swimming pool, a beauty farm, and an equestrian center are available just minutes away, easily reachable thanks to a dedicated taxi service provided by the estate.
Each detail inside the different suites has been carefully chosen and matched to the others by the owner, Mrs Olivia Lotti. Rooms are characterized by classic, original vintage furniture as well as chandeliers and components of the bathrooms, to create a refined and comfortable place even for the most demanding Guests.
