At Corte Barco, on the outskirts of Mantova, Beatilla is a farmhouse where every room bears the name of a vegetable and every wall tells a story. Founded in 1498 as an agricultural estate, it now welcomes six rooms and apartments designed by artist Luca Bornoffi: hand-painted walls, reclaimed furnishings, and colors inspired by the vegetables that surround the place. The Camera Pomodoro vibrates with red, the Mandarino plays with light, the Melanzana offers violet hues. The Mela Verde and Lampone Apartments are independent and more spacious.
Breakfast arrives in your room at your preferred time: homemade cakes, yogurt and biscuits, served thoughtfully without waste. The restaurant serves local dishes, from the Mantovan charcuterie board to buffalo steak. Just minutes from the Mantova–Peschiera cycle path and the Bosco della Fontana, the agritourism is surrounded by Parco del Mincio. Those who work here know their guests by name.
