"Santo Stefano dei Cavalli' is a rural village located on a panoramic hillock 3 km from Agnone (IS), in the green and uncontaminated heart of the Altomolise, like a sort of terrace overlooking the snow-covered mountains of Capracotta, the pleasant valley of the Verrino river and the rocky group of Pietrabbondante where the untamed Samnites fortified their homes. It is a property of about 15,000 square metres dedicated to breeding Appaloosa horses. It consists of a main house where the family lives. Cerimele, two stone and one wooden cottages used for rural hospitality, a swimming pool, a stable housing twelve horses, a saddlery and a large aviary where the most beautiful species of parrots, unique in the whole of Molise, live. In the shade of a centuries-old oak grove, two old cottages, built on the ruins of an old temple dedicated to Saint Stephen, the first martyr of Christianity, have been rescued from the wear and tear of time and the inclemency of neglect, to be used for Rural Hospitality and B&B, restoring them in every detail and caring for them with love, just as one does towards a dear relative who is a little older and of uncertain health. These are not simple and anonymous hotel rooms, but a historical cross-section of rural civilisation; the intention was to give guests the opportunity to relive moments of serene tranquillity in a green, clean and uncontaminated environment in contact with nature and animals. The rooms are all pleasantly rustic; the stone walls, wooden ceilings, terracotta floors, and arte povera furniture give the cottages the warmth of old country homes. From all the rooms there is a splendid view of the surrounding mountains and valleys. The two cottages are equipped with: bathroom, independent heating, kitchenette with fridge, washing machine, stone fireplace, veranda with barbecue and outdoor tables, green area equipped with swings and hammocks.
