Immersed in greenery, among flowers, centuries-old olive trees and vineyards, in the heart of the Gargano National Park lies the agritourism farm "Posta Pastorella". It is an ancient 17th-century farmhouse, a stone's throw from the sea and the Umbra Forest and 7 km from the centre of Vieste, used as a "post" station for changing horses and as a rest stop for stagecoach travellers who, crossing the Gargano, were headed to Vieste. Now, carefully restored without taking anything away from its ancient charm, it has been divided into rooms and apartments to offer hospitality to those wishing to spend a holiday on the Gargano. Located in an area rich in historical and archaeological remains and scenic beauty, the agritourism offers guests the possibility of a peaceful and quiet stay that is not without interest; furthermore, the land surrounding the farmhouse is rich in fossil finds and a walk through the vineyards and olive trees can offer the pleasant surprise of discovering fossils characteristic of the Gargano territory. Guests can make use of several other services: a large garden, bar and pool with hydromassage, free flat wireless internet, outdoor barbecue, fenced parking; in addition, a affiliated beach with boat rental and water sports courses. Surrounded by olive trees and vineyards, the large pool with hydromassage and children's area offers a pleasant stay in the name of complete relaxation; by the pool there is a bar for breakfast and aperitifs with the farm's own products. Divided into self-contained apartments, the Agritourism offers accommodation for 2 to 5 people in studio flats, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments with a fully equipped kitchenette and bathroom with shower. The Pastorella farm, long renowned in the Gargano area, has maintained the merit of obtaining the best products from its crops. This family vocation has, over time, been enhanced through the organic farming conversion of the vineyard and olive grove installations, without making any use whatsoever of chemical fertilisers and unauthorised pesticides. Today the farm is highly renowned for the production of an excellent extra virgin olive oil, obtained by cold extraction, and excellent wines from organic farming. The IGT wines obtained from selected grapes, vinified using the traditional method, are left to age in the cellar, at an optimal temperature and five metres underground, in steel containers and oak barrels.
