IL GIGLIO is a farmhouse in Sardinia, located in the beautiful Tirso valley, on the outskirts of Massama, a small agricultural village that is a hamlet of Oristano, just a few kilometers away. Away from mass tourism yet close to stunning natural and archaeological sites, it offers complete privacy combined with the warm hospitality of the countryside. The proximity to the island’s splendid, wild beaches makes IL GIGLIO an ideal base for exploring Sardinia’s breathtaking coastline. Verdant and blue landscapes, deep foamy waves, fine white sand, or pinkish grains—these beaches offer enchanting scenery and a sense of peace and tranquility in every season. IL GIGLIO was created through the renovation of an old manor house and a 19th-century basalt and sandstone farmhouse. Nestled among citrus groves and flowers, surrounded by our fields, it offers guests the opportunity to take beautiful nature walks and relax in the large garden, enjoying the serene atmosphere typical of the Sardinian countryside. Respecting the oldest traditions of Sardinian cuisine, IL GIGLIO serves dishes made with its own farm-raised meats from the surrounding plains, accompanied by fresh vegetables and fruits grown in its fields. The agriturismo is named after its founder, Giglio Orrù.
