Pleased to meet you, I am Carla. I have been managing Tenuta San Calogero since 2012 with a collaborator. Together we welcome travelers, we take care of the crops, we raise the animals. I decided to manage a farm to meet new and interesting people. Our guests particularly like the possibility of being in nature.
Tenuta San Calogero is located exactly halfway between Catania and Syracuse, just 8 km from the beautiful sea of Brucoli and other seaside resorts. The true heart of the estate is the farm which extends over 100 hectares and which also hosts free horse pasture. In fact, it will not be difficult to see them roam freely around the vast areas of the estate. In this suggestive context are located the apartments of the estate, built in the typical Sicilian rural style and furnished with antique furniture. The apartments offer all the comforts: each of them is in fact equipped with private bathroom, kitchen, TV and air conditioning, heating and free internet connection. At guests' disposal there will be everything necessary for breakfast (including some delicious jams and honey produced on the farm) and towels for the pool. A few meters from them, finally, there are the swimming pool, the stables, the private stables, the hen house and the small pony enclosure. The outdoor area adjacent to the apartments is equipped to enjoy the summer days in complete relaxation: sun loungers, a canopy, a lush lawn above which lie to sunbathe surrounded by citrus groves with the volcano Etna that can be seen in the distance. At our guests' disposal there are also bicycles to visit the estate and take some pleasant walks among the green citrus groves. To outline your holidays an extreme variety of landscapes: the green citrus groves alternate with olive groves and arid Sicilian pastures, the deep valley dug by the river San Calogero houses as well as numerous archaeological remains dating back to the Castelluccian civilization (pre-Greek period), a delightful spontaneous grove rich in Mediterranean essences. A holiday full of respect and love for nature.

Our estate sits at approximately 100 metres above sea level, nestled between Catania and Siracusa on the gentle hillsides of the distinctive white limestone plateau of the Hyblaean Mountains. The beautiful Brucoli coastline is just 8 km away, with other seaside villages even closer at hand. From the agritourism, you can easily reach Siracusa (30 km), Ortigia, Augista (13 km), and Catania (35 km).
