The Masseria "Bannata" from the arabic word meaning "land kissed by the sun" is located in the Enna district. Recently, by decree n. 3597 of 17 May 2016 issued by the Regional Department of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries of the Mediterranean, the company has been classified with four "spighe", which is the highest level of quality in Italy for the farms. The 19th century Masseria, built with a local stone typical of the Sicilian hinterland, stands near a pre-existent 18th century rural building once house of shepherds and cattle. Located in the heart of Sicily, the Masseria Bannata, close to the major Sicilian towns and few kilometers from the important archaeological sites of Piazza Armerina, Morgantina, Enna and Calascibetta. It is the ideal place to spend an intelligent holiday in the island. Even reaching the sea from inland has an unique charm. The rooms are spacious with en-suite bathrooms, furnished with antiques Sicilian style pieces of furniture. Good taste, attention to details and warm welcomes are what our guests appreciate the most of their holiday at the farm. A spacious swimming pool surrounded by green and many shaded corners guarantee precious moments of relax. The cuisine is inspired to the aristocratic and country tradition of the inland. The farm produces wheat, legumes, vegetables, dried fruits, olive oil and eucalyptus honey. The farm offers its guests the opportunity to participate in various cultural activities for years linked to his name: film exhibitions, concerts, jazz concerts, exhibitions and contemporary art events, performances of theater and dance, book presentations and meetings with characters in the world of international culture.

Our cuisine takes its inspiration from the traditional cuisine of Enna. The list of fare is the result of a selection made from ancient recipes of the owner of aristocratic cuisine and popular dishes.For the preparation of meals we use almost exclusively organic products from our farm. The farm produces wheat, legumes, vegetables, dried fruits, olive oil and eucalyptus honey. The rate for the dinner with vegetarian fixed menù is €25 per person, with fixed menu with meat is € 28 per person, beverage not included.
