If we were to draw an imaginary line from the top of Mount Etna to city of Taormina, then halfway down we would come across the ‘CASE PERROTTA’ farm holiday centre. Our accommodation is provided in comfortably furnished en-suite rooms made out of the old farm buildings, where you can spend peaceful days and relaxing holidays. Our restaurant serves fresh and authentic Sicilian food. Its central position allows you to easily visit all beauties of EasteSicily. Experience the different lights, colours, scents, flavours, and whirling emotions – it is like diving into nature headfirst; a breath of fresh air in some of Sicily’s most striking views.
Case Perrotta is in a rather privileged location, being both ‘off the beaten track’ but easy to get to.
It is far enough away from the main towns to not have been affected by recent savage urban expansion. In fact the uncontaminated natural surroundings, the colours and scents of the countryside, and the sweeping views, make it an ideal destination for holidays or relaxation.
You can enjoy and make use of the wide, open spaces or walk along the estate’s paths, whatever the season. You can observe our fruit production and leaabout our seasonal care and cultivation.
Reception is in the ex Chiesa del Convento (former Convent Church) and is open from 9.00 to 13.00 and from 16.30 to 20.30. You can rely on a real Sicilian traditional welcome there and find information and suggestions on how best to make use of your stay. We also offer the tourist cultural, artistic and recreational ideas. We organised excursions, painting/photography activities and culinary workshops.
Our package includes a varied and tasty Mediterranean-style breakfast with typical products mostly from our orchard or vegetable garden and served, depending on the weather, either in The Fireplace Room or in The ‘Fico’ Courtyard.
For those who would like a different kind of breakfast or one with particular foods, this can be requested beforehand at the time of booking or the day before.
The Perrotta farm holiday centre is on the slopes of Mount Etna, 700 m above sea level, in the Sant’Alfio area a stone’s throw away from its age-old chestnut tree, the “Casatgno dei Cento Cavalli”.
Case Perrotta is equidistant to the two excursion bases: Rifugio Sapienza and Piano Provenzana.
The farm estate, in the Strada del Vino (vine road) itineraries and just grazes the Parco Naturale dell’Etna (Etna’s natural park) and faces the sea, affording striking views of the rock of Taormina, the port of Riposto and the gulf. If you tuyour backs on the sea, you can enjoy the majestic view of Mount Etna and her craters on the other side
