Poggiacolle farmhouse lies in the province of Siena, only 2 km away from San Gimignano. It is located in the surrounding hilly countryside just opposite the ancient medieval town, thus offering breath-taking views over the Tuscany country and the town of San Gimignano with the unique profile of its towers. Poggiacolle farmhouse is in the heart of Tuscany, close to Volterra and at no more than 1 hour driving from the most important art towns in our region (Siena, Florence, Pisa, Arezzo, Lucca). The holiday villa is in the heart of the property, which consists of vineyards, olive groves, green pastures and woods of oak, holm and chestnut. In such scenery, at sunset, our guests might bump into the Tuscan wildlife: pheasants, hares, foxes, deers and wild boars. Poggiacolle farmhouse, a natural oasis due to its location, offers lots of facilities to make the guests' stay in San Gimignano more comfortable and pleasant.
The agritourism offers hospitality in a typical Tuscan farmhouse with an original 1700s dovecote tower recently renovated in full respect of Tuscan tradition. It has both rooms with bathroom and apartments that can accommodate from 2 to 10 people. The rooms can be inside common residential units or with independent entrance, some have the use of a shared kitchen and access to the panoramic room in the dovecote tower. All apartments and all rooms are equipped with satellite TV and private bathroom. The bathrooms of the farmhouse have been recently renovated. It is possible upon request to have additional beds in the more spacious rooms. In the agritourism farmhouse all apartments and rooms have been furnished in Tuscan rustic style. The apartments and rooms on the upper floor have the typical ceiling of old Tuscan farmhouses in terracotta and wooden beams, the apartments and rooms on the ground floor with barrel vault in bricks.

Around the farmhouse used for welcoming guests, there are large green spaces equipped with chairs, tables, sun loungers and umbrellas. Furthermore, Poggiacolle is also a beautiful agriturismo with a swimming pool in an extremely panoramic position. The swimming pool, in fact, offers agriturismo guests the possibility of relaxing with a 360° view between the ancient medieval towers and the beautiful countryside of San Gimignano. The agriturismo swimming pool is located only 20 meters from the farmhouse and its dimensions are 7 meters wide by 14 meters long. In the agriturismo it is possible to use mountain bikes, play table tennis or have fun at our bocce court. The agriturismo also offers its guests an equipped area for picnicking inside a small wood only 500 meters from the farmhouse.
Within the grounds of Poggiacolle farmhouse, you'll find several trekking trails that connect to a network of white gravel roads stretching over 30 km around the medieval village of San Gimignano, in the province of Siena. Near the property, you can enjoy tennis courts (approximately 1.5 km away), a golf course (about 15 km away), and a five-a-side football pitch (roughly 2 km away). Stefano, the owner, is based at the farmhouse and is always happy to help our guests with anything they might need. He's particularly knowledgeable about activities available in San Gimignano and can offer excellent recommendations on the main cultural and tourist attractions worth visiting in town and throughout the surrounding Tuscan countryside—including Monteriggioni, Colle di Val d'Elsa, Chianti, Crete Senesi, and Val d'Orcia, to name just a few of the most renowned spots.
