Casa Clelia stands nestled in the woods at the foot of Monte Canto in the village of Sotto il Monte. First on view is the manor house Casa Clelia Virtual Tour dating back to the 1600s, further on, the boundary of the monks from the 11th century, and then the rural area, with its vegetable garden, stables and barns. A varied and articulated building complex that has returned to its former splendour thanks to the conservative restoration that has enhanced its centuries-old history. Casa Clelia has the psycho-physical well-being of its guests at heart. It is for this reason that it was decided to renovate the buildings following the canons of bio-ecological architecture. Healthy environments in harmony with their natural surroundings, recovery of the convent's original appearance and use of eco-friendly materials. Just beyond the Casa Clelia Virtual Tour reception is the Sala Legnaia Casa Clelia Virtual Tour, an ideal setting for banquets and receptions. The Fireplace Room Casa Clelia Virtual Tour and the mezzanine Casa Clelia Virtual Tour, more intimate and secluded, provide the privacy needed for romantic dinners or business lunches. A large Casa Clelia Virtual Tour pergola of wisteria and jasmine offers the opportunity in summer to enjoy an al fresco dinner listening only to the sound of nature.
On the first and second floors the nine guest rooms with bath are all different, vary in size and color. What they share rather is an inviting warmth, an exquisitely simple décor. The spacious, comfortable rooms - some complete with fireplace - are furnished with taste, attention to detail, deep appreciation for the original structural design. Thus archways and window-spaces frame the lovely countryside all around with a once-upon-a-time charm. Each room is equipped with a star-shaped electric installation and a current disjointer essential to the reduction of electromagnetic fields. The heat, adjustable room by room, comes from a wood-burner integrated with solar panels. Panels in granular cork, jute and clay brick ensure sound-proofing. As for mode comforts, each room has a wireless access point, television set and an electric fan

Sotto Il Monte lies 350 meters on sea level, in the district of Monte Canto, 500 meters from the childhood home of Pope John XXIII. Places to visit nearby include the Cà Maitino museum and the 11th century S. Egidio in Fontanella abbey. The Casa Clelia estate, which once belonged to the famous condottiere Bartolomeo Colleoni (his coat-of-arms remains in stone on the northe gateway), is close to a woodland partially covering the property where lovely footpaths make for great hiking. Not far away there are also facilities for horse-riding and playing golf.
