In Liscate, just outside Milan, Cascina di Mezzo pairs its restaurant with a museum housing a collection of vintage agricultural machinery and a shop selling the farm's own products. The restaurant operates on set tasting menus for lunch and dinner, with a different menu for each Sunday of operation, complemented by special seasonal events announced throughout the year: cassoeula and polenta are offered to groups of over 20 people during the cold months. On Wednesday evenings from April to September, from 7 to 11 pm, the cascina opens for aperitivos with live music. Accommodation is available for those wishing to extend their stay beyond dinner, and spaces are available for ceremonies and weddings. The shop, except by appointment, is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm. Restaurant reservations are always required, and the number of guests can still be modified until 10:30 am on the day itself: after that time, the number previously communicated will be final. Anyone bringing a dessert from outside must provide an ingredient and allergen list certified by the pastry shop.
